Parent survey for Gesamtschule Schinkel

Dear parents,

your child is attending Gesamtschule Schinkel. This school will prepare your child for an apprenticeship or their future career. We would love to find out what you, as parents, think of the careers guidance on offer at the school.

We are a team of researchers and students at the University of Duisburg-Essen. We work at The Institute for Work, Skills and Training (The IAQ) where we are conducting a research project entitled "School Makes You Strong" (Schule macht stark).

We would like to know what you think of the career guidance available to you. How well do you feel the school is preparing your child for life after leaving the establishment?

Your opinion is very valuable to us, and we would like to invite you to participate in our survey.

All responses from parents will remain confidential. No one will know what you have answered. We will keep both your name and your child's name confidential. At the beginning of the survey, you will find information about our data protection regulations.

Researchers and students from the University of Duisburg-Essen have developed this online survey. They will assess the answers provided.

Anyone working on the survey agrees to comply with the data protection regulations. There is a law called The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR / DSGVO) for this purpose.

This survey complies with the data protection regulations. This means that your name and personal information will remain confidential. The name and location of the school will not be disclosed either.

The responses will be stored in such a way that only researchers and students can access them. The information will be kept so that it can be reviewed and analysed subsequently. However, the information will not be shared with other individuals.

It is up to you to decide whether you wish to participate in the survey. If you choose not to participate, there will be no negative consequences. You may also stop the survey at any time if you wish. If you change your mind, you are also entitled to withdraw your consent at a later date. However, whatever we have already reviewed up until that point will not be able to be altered.
