Pay Transparency Practices 2027
A global research study

Most EU member states missed the transposition deadline on 7 June 2026, so organisations are preparing for some of the most significant changes to pay regulation in a generation against an unsettled legislative backdrop. And this is not only a European story — requirements continue to expand across the US, Canada, Australia and beyond.

This study examines how organisations worldwide are responding, and specifically how pay transparency is reshaping approaches to grading, job evaluation and pay. Your responses will help us to:

  • benchmark how far organisations have progressed towards more transparent pay and grading structures
  •
  • identify the practical challenges of implementation
  •
  • understand what distinguishes effective, fair and sustainable transparency practices

Survey responses will be collated, and the findings and insights will be published early next year and explored through follow-up webinars and discussions.

Completing the survey

Please answer based on your organisation's current practices and planned direction of travel. There are no right or wrong answers and candid responses are what make the findings valuable.

The study has two parts. The core study takes about 15 minutes. At the end of it you can submit your responses, or continue with an optional deeper section of roughly 10 minutes if you work with these topics daily.

  • To sharpen the insights, we will group responses by sector, organisation size and geography where sample sizes allow (no individual organisation will be identifiable in any output).
  •
  • At the end of the survey, you can choose to leave your contact details if you'd like to receive the published findings and invitations to the follow-up sessions. Contact details are held separately from your survey responses and used only for this purpose.
  •
  • You can also export and save a copy of your responses for your own records, so you can benchmark your organisation over time and compare your position with the published results.
