Thank you for taking the time to participate in this survey.
Smartphones and mobile apps have become an integral part of our daily lives. Many apps require access to personal data or device features such as the camera, microphone, or location. This raises important questions about how users respond to such permission requests – especially when it is unclear why the access is needed.
This study investigates how the type of permission (e.g., camera, microphone, contacts) and the way the request is formulated and presented influence users' decisions to grant or deny access. We are also interested in whether users differentiate between necessary and unnecessary permissions, and how this affects their decision-making.
Please answer the questions truthfully and based on your personal experience – there are no right or wrong answers.
Participation will take approximately 5-10 minutes.
The survey is anonymous and voluntary. Your data will be kept confidential, not shared with third parties, and used solely for academic purposes.
