Welcome to the EURO-STEP-OT Survey

Dear participant,

The EURO-STEP-OT survey aims to evaluate Orthopaedics and Trauma residency training across Europe, including programme structure, surgical exposure, working conditions, educational opportunities, research involvement, international mobility, and resident well-being.

Meaningful change starts with reliable data. By sharing your experience, you will help make the realities of Orthopaedics and Trauma training visible across Europe and provide the evidence needed to identify challenges, highlight good practice, and advocate for better training conditions. Every response matters.

The survey is intended for current Orthopaedics and Trauma residents/trainees and physicians who completed their residency within the last five years. Participants who have already completed their residency are asked to answer all questions with reference to the final year of their training.

Participation is voluntary. All survey responses are anonymous and will be analysed only in aggregated form for academic and educational purposes. You may stop participating at any time before submitting the questionnaire without giving a reason.

At the end of the survey, you will have the option to enter a prize draw for one free place at the next FORTE Summer School 2027, including course registration and accommodation. Travel expenses are not included. Entry is optional, and email addresses will be stored separately from survey responses.

Estimated completion time: 10–15 minutes.
