Dear colleagues in emergency care, 

our Trauma Surgery research group at TUM University Clinic Rechts der Isar in Munich warmly invites you to take part in our survey on “The Use of Medical ID and Digital Tools in initial Patient Care”.

Medical ID / Emergency Info is a pre-installed smartphone feature that stores key medical information and emergency contacts. This information can be accessed instantly, even without unlocking the phone – providing first responders quick and crucial insights about the patient in emergency situations.

Information that can be entered in the Medical ID/ Emergency info:
- Current medication
- Medical history
- Allergies
- Organ donor status
- Emergency contacts
- Pregnancy
- Blood type
- Height / weight

With this survey, we also aim to explore how digital tools and Artificial Intelligence (AI) might support your work and make patient care more efficient. 

All responses are completely anonymous. Please just make sure not to enter any personal details in the free-text fields that could identify you. Ethical approval has been granted by the Ethics Committee of the TUM University Clinic Munich.
